Have a jaguar xj6 and the A frame is shot?

Hi the A frame is a better word for sub frame It is the entire frame and upside down resembles the letter A. Not sure which bearings your changing but if the removal of the rear frame is nec its only 8 mounting bolts, exhaust cow horns, prop shaft, hand brake cable and brake pipes If you remove the rear wheels, they might be referring to outer swing arm bearings However, decide the bearings your going to change and if you opt to pop out the frame, change the discs if worn and definatly the hand brake pads mounted to the top of the brake Incidently transits pop this frame in as its drill eight holes only, the chis is the right width All jobs can be done in situ but out is easier If this is mot failure it could be the bushes on the forward facing retaining arms If its just the frame mounts you can do those one side at a time, two either side Head gaskets are a problem but more so the 4.2 and any problems gearbox wise is usually blocked filter in the box sump
