What do you think of waldorf schools, if you don't know how it is check this out?

Ok, so I put my son in a french international school here in Netherlands and it is WAY to strict. I was in a Waldorf school when I was a girl and I had the best time in my life. I didn't learn how to read till I was about 6 or 7, but I developed S-E-N-S-I-B-I-L-I-T-Y (not so common right now). I was very happy, I studied medicine in Cambridge, etc...the point is I want my son to learn differently then in public schools, I would keep him in an alternative school till he finishes elementary. He is just 4 years old, he gets tons of homework and he starts school at 7:45 a.m and finishes at 15:10 and he wears uniform. So I was wondering what you think about this, me and my husband aren't sure if changing him or not. The Waldorf school is private, it is pretty big and good.
