Gotta a question about missing court?

okay my friend was on her way to oklahoma and in texas she got into a car reck-which was not her fault-anyways,she had a court date in april and she missed it because she was stranded in texas-and now in oklahoma cuz she finally found a ride there 2 oklahoma(she was stranded in texas-there was a dust storm which caused the accident)(And the court was in california she was supposed to go to was in california)now she doesnt know what to do cuz she thinks their gonna put a warrant out for her arrest.she even called ther court and they said there was nothing they could do-which was sooooooooo unfair.does anyone have any body have any ideas how to help her?
