Can a technicality like my co def. soc sec # on my arrest report get a criminal chg dismissed ? in arizona?

i was arrested for theft in arizona even though i wasnt caught stealing anything i am guilty however of recieving stolen property. i know nothing about the legal system as i have no prior criminal history . i cant afford a real attorney so i am forced to use a public pretender and he has done nothing for me im just a # to him my question is can a minor technicality get my chg. dropped ? my arrest report has a few things wrong with it . thankyou for your imput
