How to i convince my parents to let me be homeschooled?

I want to leave high schools, i do not care about being lonley, i have enough friends outside of school... But how can i convince my parents of homeschooling, they will shoot it down since they think public schools is the best, and that home schooling will make me an idiot. I read about how homeschooling is better, but what should I tell my parents? Im from Fairfax, Virginia
