Is post of Development Officer of Life Insurance Corp.of India & Sales Manager in Aviva same.Are both Workman?

I understand Development Officer of Life Insurance Corporation of India is covered as a workman and is member of LIC Employees Union and first their Union takes up the matter of termination of service with LIC mangement and later the employee can file the case against termination of service in labour Court.Is Sales Manager of AVIVA is also a workman and can he file his case of termination of service in labour court. Also of which Unions he can become a member for support for his rights
