Are there cases of aphasia where the individual thinks that s/he is speaking normally?

are there cases of aphasia where the individual thinks that s/he is speaking normally, even though they have fluency problems, etc? there was an episode of house where a patient had aphasia and was really frustrated because he thought he was speaking perfect english but nobody else could understand him. i was just wondering if this is actually how it works or if the writers were just taking liberties.
